First year is over- already!

I can't believe it! The past 8 months have sped by. Despite entering a new relationship in Fresher's week, I managed to pass first year with a comfortable 2:2. I'm happy about it now but it took a while as I was aiming for higher, as many students do. I can't wait for second year now! Joe and I are still together and are looking forward to our year anniversary in a few months! I have met his parents and other relatives and he has met most of mine except some cousins and my sister as she is still working and living abroad. Joe and I have been inseparable. He's my best friend now and I wouldn't have life any other way right now.

NEW HOUSE

Although I've enjoyed my first year, I can not wait to move in with Joe and 3 other friends in September :) we have found a lovely house with amazing size rooms and a garden. It is 2 seconds walk from my old uni accommodation and 5 seconds walk away from Beaumont Park!! Until the exciting move, I am living at Joe's parents house. It is touching that I am allowed to stay here so Joe and I don't have to be apart for 4 months. I would miss him, dearly. We have bought some items for the new house which include 3 duvets, food and cleaning products and basic kitchen essentials! All we need now is a few more bit and bobs before we move! Exciting stuff!!

Isn't it lovely?!
HOLIDAY

As well as being so lucky to live with Joe and his parents, I have been lucky enough to be invited on holiday with them in August for a week of sun, sand and sangrias in Mallorca! I cannot wait to top up my tan before another stressful year (well, 8 months) of uni that actually count towards my degree!

UNI WORRIES

I am quite nervous. In September- along with my degree; I will be redoing my GCSE in Science and 200 hours voluntary placement in a Primary school. Although I am quite excited for the placement, I hope it will not be too much work and will not jeopardise my degree. I NEED a 2:1 degree to progress on to the PGCE. Fingers crossed that I'll be OK.

WEIGHT GAIN/LOSS

The finances are really hard and job hunting is proving useless with every student wanting a job in Plymouth.! One of the struggles with money that people don't realise is the cost of food. We all know that prices are rising but what about students? Cheap food is always unhealthy and easily accessible . As a result I have put on 22 pounds!!! I have rejoined the gym with a determination to shift it but to say it is difficult is an understatement! I found this on Google and have followed them ever since.

Never give up.

I will keep my blog updated on my weight loss struggles and success. Wish me luck!
